Bayern Munich have delivered a series of attacking displays over their last five matches, scoring 17 goals and conceding just 4 across all competitions. The team secured four wins and suffered one defeat, a run that includes standout performances at the Club World Cup.
The most emphatic result came against Auckland City, with Bayern registering a 10–0 victory. That match featured goals from Kingsley Coman, Jamal Musiala, Thomas Müller, and new signing Michael Olise. Musiala recorded a hat-trick, while Olise provided two goals and two assists, earning a perfect Sofascore rating of 10. Coman added two goals and an assist in the same fixture, contributing to a dominant display.
Harry Kane continued to be productive in front of goal, tallying four goals and two assists in this stretch. His impact was most apparent in the 4–2 win over Flamengo, where he scored twice. Kane was also influential against Boca Juniors, scoring the opener and setting up Olise’s winner in the 84th minute. Olise’s arrival this summer has brought a new dimension to Bayern’s attack, with five direct goal contributions in just two appearances.
Defensively, Bayern have largely maintained stability, keeping two clean sheets. However, occasional lapses were evident, particularly in the Flamengo match where they conceded twice. The only defeat in the recent run came against Benfica, where the team lacked their usual offensive threat after rotating the lineup.
Vincent Kompany has used the depth of his squad to good effect, rotating players and keeping the side fresh through a demanding Club World Cup campaign. The breadth of goalscorers and providers—Coman, Musiala, Müller, Olise, Kane—reflects an attack with variety as well as volume.
After a season without trophies, Bayern are now reasserting themselves both domestically and internationally. Olise’s quick adaptation and partnership with Kane stand out, with both players combining well and each reaching individual milestones for goal involvement. The team’s attacking output of 3.4 goals per match in this period is notable even by their own standards.
Relative to other European competitors this summer, Bayern’s scoring rate is higher, and the consistency of their performances has underlined their ambitions for the coming season. Their offensive structure, supported by Kompany’s rotation and squad management, has positioned the club as one of the early form teams at the Club World Cup and in their preparations for the Bundesliga campaign.
