Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen express interest in Como boss Cesc Fabregas.

According to a report by Gianluca Di Marzio, Bayer Leverkusen hope to appoint Cesc Fabregas as their new coach following the departure of Xabi Alonso.

The German club confirmed that the Spanish coach will leave this summer as he seeks newer pastures. Alonso is expected to join Real Madrid as the Brazil National Team race for Carlo Ancelotti.

Fabregas has impressed with the newly promoted Como this season as he has led the club to secure survival in the Serie A while gunning for a top-half finish.

Leverkusen are yet to stage concrete talks with the Como coach’s representatives but the idea remains clear to go for him this summer.

Alongside Die Werkself, Roma are also interested in bringing Fabregas to their club and negotiations are awaited. The Giallorossi were thinking of appointing Massimiliano Allegri as their new boss but they are considering other options too.
