According to Patrick Berger, Bayer Leverkusen, alongside a number of other Bundesliga sides, are looking to go head-to-head with Arsenal and Tottenham for the talented wonderkid Bazoumana Touré.
It is understood that the 18-year-old has garnered considerable attention for his performances for Swedish outfit Hammarby IF, registering nine goals and four assists as the side finished second in the Allsvenskan.
As well as Die Werkself, RB Leipzig and Wolfsburg are also monitoring Touré’s development after the 18-year-old moved to Europe from the Ivory Coast in spring.
Touré’s deal at Hammarby is not set to expire until 2028, which would put the Swedish side in a strong position to demand a lucrative sum.
Nevertheless, at this stage, it is not yet known who leads the race to sign the 18-year-old.
While a move to either Arsenal or Tottenham would be more glamorous for the teenager, it could be argued that Leverkusen, Leipzig, and Wolfsburg would be better suited for maximising Touré’s development and offering more first team minutes.
