Barcelona’s transfer links with two defenders shut down | OneFootball

The alleged interest of La Liga giants Barcelona in the services of a pair of defenders has been firmly rebuffed.

This comes amid confirmation on the part of market insider Fabrizio Romano that the Blaugrana are not interested in the signings of either Alejandro Grimaldo, or Alessandro Bastoni.

The names of both left-back Grimaldo and centre-half Bastoni have proven prominent ones in Catalunya’s capital over recent days and weeks.

This comes amid claims that, amid their ongoing search for defensive reinforcements for next season, Deco and the Camp Nou board have earmarked both as potential additions.

Those of a Blaugrana persuasion eager for either player to link up with Hansi Flick’s squad this summer, however, need not get their hopes up.

This comes amid confirmation on the part of the aforementioned Fabrizio Romano that:

‘Reports on Alejandro Grimaldo and Alessandro Bastoni as concrete targets for Barcelona are wide of mark.’
