Barcelona’s teenage talent Noah Darvich is at the centre of growing interest from top clubs in Germany and England, but new manager Hansi Flick may be ready to step in and change the narrative.

According to Mundo Deportivo, several Bundesliga teams, including Stuttgart and Bayer Leverkusen, as well as Premier League giants Manchester City, have explored the possibility of signing the 18-year-old midfielder.

Darvich, who joined Barça in 2023, is currently playing for Barça Atletic, but the team’s recent relegation to the Segunda RFEF has raised doubts over his future.

While offers are on the table, particularly from his native Germany, Barcelona are not giving up on the youngster just yet, especially with Flick now involved.

This faith could be a game-changer

The German coach reportedly sees promise in Darvich and wants him involved in the pre-season tour.

Although the midfielder has not made his first-team debut yet, Flick had already included him in the matchday squads for La Liga fixtures against Celta Vigo and Valladolid, though he remained an unused substitute on both occasions.

Club sources have said that while Flick likes Darvich’s potential, the challenge is the intense competition in midfield, where Barcelona already have an abundance of talent.

The youngster’s path to the first team is not guaranteed, but the manager’s interest could be enough to convince him to stay a little longer.

Facing big decision post-U19 Euros

Darvich has a contract with Barcelona, signed until 2026 with two optional years. The deal includes a staggering €1 billion release clause, in line with club policy to protect rising stars.

However, he is currently focused on the UEFA U-19 European Championship and is yet to make a final decision regarding his future.

If Darvich chooses to remain at Barcelona, Flick’s trust and the opportunity to impress in pre-season could open the door for gradual integration into the senior squad.

But with interest mounting and game time not guaranteed, he will need to carefully weigh his next move once the international tournament concludes.\
