Another member of the first-team ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona was on Friday spotted back at the club’s training base.
This comes with a view to getting a head start on preparations for the new campaign.
The player in question? Héctor Fort.
Defender Fort is for his part fresh off a season in 2024/25 which saw him play a bit part role for Hansi Flick’s Barcelona.
Sitting behind first-choice full-backs Jules Koundé and Alejandro Balde in the defensive pecking order, the 18-year-old was condemned to fleeting minutes, spread across 20 total appearances.
With the competition for places set to be as fierce as ever next time out, Fort, in turn, is evidently keen to get a leg up on his teammates.
As confirmed by Blaugrana insider Alex Pintanel, the Spanish full-back was the latest member of the club’s first-team ranks to report back for pre-season training early on Friday.
The rest of Hansi Flick’s ranks are expected back on Sunday.
