Barcelona youngster loses a transfer suitor | OneFootball

One of the leading contenders for the signature of Barcelona starlet Dani Rodríguez have pulled the plug on their move for the 20-year-old.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Valencia as the outfit in question.

Earlier this month, word was forthcoming that Los Che were expressing a serious interest in bringing winger Rodríguez in for the season ahead.

This comes with the Spaniard expected to find game-time altogether tough to come by in Hansi Flick’s squad in 2025/26.

On the lookout for reinforcements in the final third, the Mestalla brass, in turn, are said to have made clear their eagerness to beat out the competition to Rodríguez’s signature.

But if the latest update on the situation to have surfaced on Wednesday is anything to go by, then Valencia should no longer be considered as in the running for the youngster.

As per a report from MD:

‘The Valencians are no longer in the running to sign the Barça youth player. The priority for Valencia would be to sign a more important striker.’
