Barcelona summer exit with buy back option is already impressing at his new club – Report | OneFootball

FC Barcelona and Pablo Torre parted ways this summer with a permanent transfer. The Spanish midfielder joined RCD Mallorca, and has been working hard to succeed there. While his time at Barcelona might be over, the player remains connected to the Catalan club.

With a buy-back clause included, as well as a sell-on clause reportedly worth 50%, Barça and Torre remain linked even today. However, it seems clear enough that he is already adapting to Mallorca well enough to earn praise from his teammates.

Speaking to Radio Marca (via SPORT), Dani Rodriguez of RCD Mallorca commended the young arrival from Barcelona and praised his personality and determination in particular:

“From a footballing standpoint, there’s nothing new to say — but as a person, he’s pleasantly surprised me. I think he’s the type of profile we need. That drive to succeed, the humility he brings, his desire to work hard and make it… We all need to support him. In the end, it’s a collective effort — we need to help him feel comfortable so he can bring out his best football.”

Despite clearly being a talented player, things simply did not work out for Torre at Barcelona. Due to the immense competition and the nature of the club, it became nearly impossible for him to carve out a place for himself.

However, the Catalan giants will be hoping that he can rediscover himself properly at Mallorca. Ultimately, the better he performs, the more opportunities and avenues open up for Barcelona to consider and assess for him in the future, thanks to the special clauses attached.

Interestingly, while Barcelona have concluded their preseason tour with a recent win over Daegu FC, Torre might soon encounter his old teammates himself. After all, the La Liga opener for Mallorca is a clash against Hansi Flick’s Barcelona.
