Barcelona stars rally around Lamine Yamal after father’s stabbing | OneFootball

Barcelona’s players made a conscious effort to stay close to young teammate Lamine Yamal during training on Thursday.

This comes after the 17-year-old was subjected to a harrowing ordeal late last night.

As confirmed by a host of sources across the Spanish media, Lamine’s father, Mounir Nasraoui, was the victim of a stabbing, in Catalunya.

The incident took place in a car park in Mataró, with a police investigation having since been swiftly launched.

Nasraoui, thankfully, is understood to have avoided any kind of serious injury, but the entire incident, nevertheless, no doubt came as a shock to he and his family alike.

In turn, it may have come as something of a surprise to Hansi Flick’s Barcelona squad to see Lamine back in the thick of things in training as soon as this morning.

This, though, is precisely what played out.

And, according to Diario Sport, the Blaugrana’s players made use of the opportunity to rally around their teenage teammate:

‘The dressing room has gone all out to support the young 17-year-old footballer and he felt the affection from everyone,’ it is assured.
