Pablo Torre is close to leaving FC Barcelona after having had a fringe role under Hansi Flick this past season.
The 22-year-old starlet showed his potential every time he was given a chance. But given the competition for places, he was unable to nail down a regular berth in the team and is now on his way out.
Mallorca seemed to be the Spaniard’s new destination until Ajax and Marseille intervened. However, the midfielder has again decided to sign for the La Liga club.
As such, SPORT reports that Torre’s arrival at Mallorca is all but confirmed, barring any major last-minute twist.
While the final details between the two clubs have not yet been agreed, the operation is very close to completion.

Torre is expected to become Mallorca’s first signing of the season and, ideally, will join his new teammates at the start of pre-season training in a week’s time on 10 July.
The report, however, adds that despite Mallorca having Torre’s approval, several other clubs are monitoring the situation closely, so it is important not to consider the deal finalised until everything is signed.
As per SPORT, Mallorca are prepared to make a significant financial effort to sign Torre, with the transfer fee expected to be around €5 million for 50% of the player’s rights.
Barcelona insist on retaining the other 50%, meaning any future transfer to a third party would result in the fee being split equally between the two clubs.
What remains undisclosed is the potential buyback clause for the La Liga champions, should they wish to re-sign the player in the near future.
