Barcelona starlet rejects Man City & Juventus to sign new contract | OneFootball

One of the most highly-regarded up-and-coming talents at La Liga giants Barcelona has agreed to commit his future to the club.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Toni Fernández as the player in question.

Fernández, for his part, is a 15-year-old attacker, who has long been making waves in La Masia.

Despite his tender years, the Spaniard spent this past season lining out for Barcelona’s U18s, an established international at U17 level, too.

Recent word doing the rounds in the media that Fernández was giving consideration to a new adventure, as a result, no doubt came as a source of concern for all of a Blaugrana persuasion.

A whole host of leading clubs across Europe are understood to have expressed an interest in his signature, with the likes of Manchester City and Juventus having gone as far as to put contract proposals before the youngster.

As alluded to above, though, such offers, evidently, failed to sufficiently convince Fernández of the merits of moving on.

He has, instead, reached a ‘total agreement’, over an imminent contract renewal with Barcelona.

As per Sport:

‘The loose ends have been ironed out and on July 16 the player from the Barcelona neighbourhood of Zona Franca will sign with Barça until 2027.’
