Barcelona star Lamine Yamal came in for some harsh treatment on the part of the home fans, in the aftermath of the Blaugrana’s weekend meeting with Rayo Vallecano.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing Movistar Plus+, who have on Tuesday provided an insight into the situation.
Wide-man Lamine was for his part at the heart of a controversial incident at Vallecas on Sunday.
En route to a 1-1 draw between the sides, the 18-year-old was responsible for both winning and dispatching a first-half penalty.
As much came amid unusual circumstances, however, as a problem with the VAR system prevented the referee from checking the collision back.
Many felt as though a spot-kick should not have been awarded, with Lamine having gone to ground overly dramatically.
And this appears to have been a sentiment shared by sections of the home crowd in attendance at the clash.
This comes amid confirmation on the part of MD that:
‘Lamine Yamal was pelted with objects and liquids by some fans as he made his way to the locker room.’
