La Liga giants Barcelona are set to welcome a leading member of the club’s attacking ranks back into the fray in group training on Wednesday.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Lamine Yamal as the player in question.

Attacker Lamine was for his part condemned to a spell on the treatment table earlier this month, after suffering a sprained ankle en route to Barcelona’s shock La Liga defeat at the hands of Leganés.

At the time, a return timeline somewhere in the region of three to four weeks was set for the Spanish international.

Lamine’s participation at the upcoming Spanish Super Cup, set to be kicked into gear on January 8th, was in turn thrown firmly up in the air.

With the first piece of silverware of their side’s campaign up for grabs at the tournament, all of a Barca persuasion will in turn no doubt be delighted to hear that the club’s wing sensation looks set to be fit and available for selection.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, the plan is for Lamine to link back up with his teammates in group training tomorrow, with a view to featuring against Athletic Club in Saudi Arabia in a little over a week’s time.

The 17-year-old is unlikely to be risked in the Blaugrana’s Copa del Rey clash with Barbastro on Saturday, though.
