An insight into the extent of the incoming absence facing Barcelona youngster Ibrahim Diarra has on Saturday been forthcoming online.
The name of attacker Diarra has of course emerged as a prominent one in Catalunya’s capital across the day to date.
Unfortunately for the Malian, however, as much comes for less than positive reasons.
Diarra was drafted into Barcelona’s first-team setup for pre-season training this week, since going on to make a positive impression on the club’s coaching staff.
In turn, it came as a blow when word was forthcoming that the 18-year-old has suffered an injury setback.
As per a statement across Barca’s website and social media platforms earlier today:
‘Barça Atlètic player Ibrahim Diarra has sustained a muscle injury to the rectus femoris in his right leg. He will not travel with the first team on the tour to Japan and South Korea, and his return to the first team activities will depend on the progress of his recovery.’
So, just how long is Diarra expected to be out of action?
As per a report from Diario Sport:
‘The club does not specify the time of absence although this type of injury does not usually fall below 3-4 weeks.’
