Barcelona star thanks teammate for ‘gift’ in win over Real Valladolid | OneFootball

Barcelona star Fermín López has moved to send a message of appreciation to teammate Gerard Martín.

This comes owing to the latter’s exploits in the club’s latest outing.

Barcelona of course marked their return to action on Saturday night, making the trip to the Estadio José Zorrilla for a La Liga meeting with Real Valladolid.

When all was said and done, Hansi Flick’s troops emerged on the right side of a 3-2 result, in the process taking another step towards the title in Spain’s top-flight.

Both of the aforementioned Fermín and Martín featured from the off in the fixture, from their respective berths in attacking midfield and left-back.

Not only that, but the pair connected to notch the game’s decisive goal, Martín’s perfect cut-back from the left having been dispatched in superb fashion by Fermín.

And as alluded to above, post-match, the latter was quick to send a message of thanks the way of his teammate, for what he described as ‘a gift’:

“Gerard Martín gave me a gift with that assist, all I had to do was put it in the bottom corner.”
