A statistic highlighting the respective goalscoring endeavours of Barcelona and Real Madrid stars Ferran Torres and Kylian Mbappé on the continent this season has turned heads in Spain today.

This comes amid the revelation that the former has now matched the tally of his altogether more high-profile Blancos counterpart.

Ferran for his part proved himself the star of the show on Wednesday, as Barcelona got the better of Borussia Dortmund.

Introduced off the bench late on, the former Manchester City man notched a brace, to guide Barca to an important 3-2 victory.

And, in the process, Ferran equalled Kylian Mbappé’s Champions League haul for the season.

Despite having been afforded just one European start in 2024/25 compared to Mbappé’s five, Barcelona’s oft-criticised frontman now sits on two goals.

With the summer arrival in Madrid having only managed to find the net against Stuttgart and Atalanta, he and Ferran, in turn, are currently locked alongside one another in the Champions League goalscoring charts.
