FC Barcelona retained their lead at the top of the La Liga table thanks to a 4-3 win over Celta Vigo on Saturday.
It was a hard-fought encounter that saw the Catalans battle it out for three points, with a late penalty strike from Raphinha helping them collect all three points.
Despite fading off at the bottom, one of the crucial performers for the Barcelona attack was Ferran Torres, who scored the all-important opener.
Speaking to the media after the narrow win over Celta, Ferran admitted that Barcelona did not exactly play well on the night.
“It’s important to get three points at a time. It’s true that we didn’t play well today, but we’ve played a lot of games,” he said (h/t Mundo Deportivo).
The Spaniard stressed the importance of the three points which will help Barcelona retain their four-point lead at the top, providing Real Madrid win against Athletic Club tomorrow.

“The important thing is to have gotten the win. Now it’s time to reset and recover for Tuesday’s game,” the forward added.
Ferran went on to talk about his role in the team, claiming he is ready to play any role given to him by Hansi Flick. He also talked about his own performance against Celta Vigo.
“I’m always ready for whatever the coach calls me on. Today I scored a goal, I was able to help the team, and that’s what’s important,” he said. “The team knows I’m here for whatever they need.”
Ferran Torres’ open declaration becomes even more important at a time when Lewandowski could face up to three weeks on the sidelines thanks to a fresh injury vs Celta Vigo.
Finally, Ferran talked about the penalty that was won late in the game, which helped Barcelona secure three points.
“I’m hoarse and everything. I think it was a moment when I didn’t even know what I was doing or where I was. When he scored the penalty, I made a run that I don’t think I even made in the match,” Ferran concluded.
