Barcelona star has ‘a long list of suitors fighting’ for his signature | OneFootball

A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is continuing to attract widespread transfer interest this summer.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Eric García as the player in question.

Defender Eric for his part of course played a surprisingly prominent role in Catalunya’s capital over the latter weeks of this past season.

After Jules Koundé was condemned to a spell on the sidelines with a hamstring injury, the versatile Eric was tasked with filling in at right-back in Barcelona’s squad.

And the former Manchester City man went on to do a thoroughly impressive job of as much.

Such exploits, though, did not go at all unnoticed across Spain and beyond… This comes amid confirmation of widespread interest in Eric’s signature this summer.

As per a report from Sport:

‘With Eric Garcia, the story of a year ago is repeated: an open market and a long list of suitors fighting for a loan or a transfer of the Barça defender.’

It is also noted, however, that:

‘If someone asks Hansi Flick about his untouchables in defence, Eric is one of them.’
