La Liga outfit Sevilla are expressing a keen interest in the signing of a member of the midfield ranks at Barcelona.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Pablo Torre as the player in question.
Torre, for his part, is fresh off a largely frustrating campaign with Barcelona in 2024/25.
Despite impressing when afforded the opportunity, the major competition for places in the attacking midfield role in Hansi Flick’s XI saw the 22-year-old restricted to just five starts across all competitions.
A summer exit for Torre, in turn, has long been rumoured in the media.
And as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from Spain on Tuesday is anything to go by, then a new suitor appear to have emerged in the race for the Spaniard’s signature.
As per a report from MD:
‘Sevilla have set their sights on Pablo Torre. The Barça midfielder is no longer part of Hansi Flick’s plans and has already accepted that his future depends on a change of scenery. At the Sánchez Pizjuán, they know this and his name appears on the list of reinforcements for the new technical secretary Antonio Cordón.’
It is also noted that Torre – currently on international duty at the U21 European Championships – is ‘considering’ the option of a move to Andalusia.
