Barcelona star avoids question on under-fire teammate | OneFootball

Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski opted against answering, after being questioned on the situation of teammate Marc-André ter Stegen on Tuesday.

The name of shot-stopper Ter Stegen has of course returned to the forefront of the headlines in Catalunya’s capital across the day to date.

This comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that the German has refused to sign off on Barcelona’s medical report regarding the extent of his current back injury.

Owing to this stance, the Blaugrana find themselves unable to make use of Ter Stegen’s freed wages to register one of the club’s summer signings.

This marks just the latest development in what has long been an increasingly frayed relationship between club and player.

One member of Hansi Flick’s squad who wanted nothing to do with the saga when questioned on Tuesday, though, was the aforementioned Robert Lewandowski.

After the name of his under-fire teammate was put to the Pole upon his arrival back in Catalunya following Barca’s pre-season tour of Asia, veteran frontman Lewandowski replied:

“Ter Stegen? I’m tired. Thank you.”
