Barcelona are optimistic about the chances of re-registering Dani Olmo and Pau Victor in LaLiga, at least temporarily.
This is because the Higher Sports Council (CSD) is expected to grant the precautionary measure that would allow both players to rejoin the competition, claims a report from SPORT.
While the club has not yet received official confirmation, there is growing confidence within the organisation that the decision will go in their favour.
The club presented its case to the CSD on Tuesday, submitting a detailed document that spanned 52 pages and included over 60 supporting documents.
Following a review by the CSD’s legal services, it is anticipated that the council will approve the registrations in the coming hours.
However, this decision is unlikely to allow Olmo and Pau Victor to feature in Barcelona’s upcoming Spanish Super Cup match against Athletic Club in Riyadh.

Still, if the team advances to the final, there is a possibility that the two players could participate.
This situation could mark a significant turning point in how La Liga addresses the issue of registering a player twice in the same season. If the CSD approves Barcelona’s request, it might set a precedent for similar cases in the future.
However, it is essential to note that this will not be a permanent solution. The CSD’s current action would only acknowledge the legal grounds presented by the club and grant temporary approval for the players to be registered.
The council will have up to three months to thoroughly examine the case and issue a final verdict.
During this time, Barcelona’s ability to field Olmo and Victor in league matches will depend on the temporary nature of the precautionary measure.
The final decision could have broader implications for league regulations and player registrations in the future.
