Although Barcelona were able to cap off their Asia tour with an emphatic 5-0 win over Daegu FC, the picture wasn’t all rosy for the team afterwards.

In fact, the entire Barcelona team is dealing with some degree of fatigue and jet lag as they look to cope with their long return to Catalonia, which took about 17 hours.

Barcelona team complaint about poor planning

As reported by AS, the Barcelona team wasn’t all that happy with the way their return to the city was planned, with some even complaining directly to coach Hansi Flick.

For one, the players had to endure a four-hour bus ride shortly after the Daegu FC match, which took them to the Seoul airport.

After the long bus ride, some players were already tired, especially having played under the challenging and wet conditions of the pitch at Daegu Stadium.

What followed, though, was a 13-hour-long chartered flight to Barcelona, which was boarded at around 4 am in the morning.

The team landed at El Prat airport at 10 am local time, as Spain and South Korea are seven hours apart in time zone.

This 17-hour expedition had already taken a huge toll on Barcelona players, who were treated to another surprise when it was reported that club captain Marc-Andre ter Stegen refused to sign and give Barcelona access to his medical report.

In addition to the Ter Stegen news and the obvious fatigue, several Barcelona players are also dealing with jet lag, having covered massive distances in a short span of time.

The effects of jet lag can be adverse and may even last up to weeks, depending on certain individuals.
