Barcelona planning to offer a forward and €40m in cash to sign AC Milan winger – Report | OneFootball

The upcoming summer transfer window could allow FC Barcelona to potentially target some new players. While the team has undoubtedly been effective under Hansi Flick this season, there is always some room for improvement. Fortunately for Barcelona, they may be able to address such areas in the summer.

In terms of players that have been linked to Barça in recent times, however, there is a certain winger from Serie A who has gained prominence in that regard. Aged 25, Portuguese winger Rafael Leao is the player that is reportedly linked to the Catalan club at the moment.

However, the AC Milan winger is a player who will definitely not come cheap. The Italian club sees him as a valuable asset and any side that wants him will likely have to make a big investment. For Barcelona, however, a big transfer fee like that is something that would not be ideal.

According to Fichajes, however, the Catalan giants have an alternative solution. As per the report, Barcelona would be willing to give €40 million for the Portuguese winger alongside Spanish forward Ferran Torres, who is currently valued at €28 million himself.

Moreover, the report also suggests that this is a solution that AC Milan is not completely opposed to either. They understand that Leao has a market and there are clubs interested in signing him, so Barça’s approach to the operation is not exactly a bad effort.

Moreover, given the kind of profile that Leao has, he would be a player that Barcelona would reportedly welcome at the club. Currently, apart from Lamine Yamal, Hansi Flick’s team does not have a player who can create danger by himself through their dribbling prowess, but Leao’s arrival would undoubtedly change that.

It remains to be seen what happens to this operation, as there is still some time before the summer transfer window. Until then, however, Hansi Flick knows that he can depend on his current squad to succeed, regardless of the few areas where they can definitely improve.
