Barcelona outcast training hard to convince Flick; receiving help from in-form teammate | OneFootball

Ansu Fati is going through a very difficult time at FC Barcelona, having fallen out of favour under manager Hansi Flick.

The 22-year-old forward has not played in more than a month and has become an afterthought, getting left out of the squad list on a regular basis.

The Blaugrana even tried to ship him off during the winter transfer window only for the player to refuse to leave.

Fati wants to convince Flick

From the last couple of matches, it has become clear that Fati is not a big part of the plans at Barcelona under Hansi Flick.

Despite that, Fati remains eager to prove himself and convince the manager which is why he has been training hard, reports Santi Ovalle.

The La Masia forward has been training at Ciutat Esportiva on off days and even stays back by himself after sessions are over to work on himself.

The 22-year-old feels sad as he believes Barça were pushing for his departure but remains determined to change his situation.

Receiving help from Lewandowski

The report further adds that Fati is receiving a lot of help from in-form superstar Robert Lewandowski in training.

The veteran striker is helping the attacker’s integration into the squad while he even stays with Ansu after training to help him with some exercises.

So far this season, Ansu has played just eight times in all competitions (186 minutes), without scoring or assisting a goal.

While his dedication is commendable, Fati is clearly behind a host of other players at the club and his situation is unlikely to improve anytime soon.
