A major update on the latest developments behind the scenes at La Liga giants Barcelona has on Thursday come to the fore online.
The info comes courtesy of Diario Sport, and points towards Barca as closing on what could be an imminent return to the long-discussed 1:1 rule.
The subject of the financial situation in Catalunya’s capital has of course dominated the headlines across all of Europe over the course of recent days.
This comes after the efforts of Joan Laporta and co. to clear sufficient space on the club’s wage bill to register Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor for the 2nd half of the campaign came up short.
As much means that, as things stand, neither player is eligible to take to the pitch for Hansi Flick’s side in competitive fixtures.
Safe to say, then, that the latest word to have surfaced in the media this afternoon will come as music to the ears of all of a Blaugrana persuasion.
As per a report from Sport:
‘The club assures that the agreement for the commercialization of the VIP boxes of the future Spotify Camp Nou is already accredited, which will provide an important economic income that will allow it to meet the requirements demanded by LaLiga.’
Not only will this operation allow Barcelona to register the aforementioned Olmo and Víctor through the summer, but it could well prove the final step to guide the Catalan club back in line with the 1:1 rule, crucial when it comes to the winter transfer window.
