As reported earlier today, Pau Victor appears all set to leave FC Barcelona in favour of a permanent transfer to SC Braga in Portugal.

It was revealed that the operation will be worth €15 million in total – €12 million in transfer fees and another €3 million in add-ons.

Victor, who had four years left on his contract at Barça, had been looking favourably at the proposal and is expected to make the switch.

Barcelona want a buyback clause

Fabrizio Romano has come forth with an update on the situation, confirming the transfer fee and add-on figures that had been reported before.

On top of that, the transfer expert claims that Barcelona are negotiating a buyback clause with SC Braga for Victor.

It does not come as a surprise that the Catalans wish to insert a buyback option for the attacker, considering that he is rated very highly by those at the club.

Even though Victor barely played regularly under Hansi Flick last season, the forward’s talent and versatility are well-appreciated.

As such, Barcelona wish to insert a buyback option to leave the door open for a future return if the youngster progresses during his stint at SC Braga.

Girona to pocket 30% fee

Meanwhile, Nil Sola adds that Victor’s former club, Girona, inserted a future sell-on clause in their agreement with Barcelona for his sale.

The terms of the agreement stated that Girona would be owed 50% of the fee Barça receive for the attacker in 2024, with that share dropping to 30% for the current transfer window.

As such, the Montilivi-based outfit will receive 30% of the transfer fee that Barcelona earn from Braga for Victor, almost close to €4 million.
