Barcelona secured a resounding 7-1 win over Valencia in La Liga on Sunday night even though manager Hansi Flick opted to make heavy rotations in the starting lineup.
One of the most notable absences for Barça was that of key midfielder Pedri, who was absent from the matchday squad entirely after falling ill with gastroenteritis.
But there is good news for the Blaugrana fans as far as the 22-year-old superstar’s condition is concerned.
Indeed, according to AS, Pedri has rejoined the team’s training session this Monday after recovering from a bout of gastroenteritis that had kept him out of the match against Valencia.
It seems all set that the Spanish international will be fully available for Barcelona’s upcoming UEFA Champions League clash against Atalanta on Wednesday.

Up until Sunday, Pedri had featured in all of Barça’s matches this season, with his fitness problems a thing of the past now.
The 22-year-old, who is expected to sign a new contract imminently, has also been in terrific form, showing why he is considered one of the best midfielders in the world.
As such, his return for the game against Atalanta, which is a crucial one for Barcelona with regard to gaining an advantage heading into the UCL Round of 16, will come as a big boost for Hansi Flick & co.
Meanwhile, Gavi, who was also given a rest on Sunday against Valencia, is expected to return to the starting XI against the Serie A outfit on Wednesday.
However, fellow midfielder Dani Olmo will still be unavailable as he continues his recovery from a calf strain. The Spaniard could make his comeback either against Alaves at the weekend or Valencia next week.
