A leading member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is leading Europe’s top leagues in through passes this season.

The player in question? Pedri.

Spanish international Pedri has of course enjoyed a superb individual campaign to date.

Having seemingly put his long-standing fitness problems firmly behind him, the 22-year-old has looked back to his brilliant best at the heart of new Blaugrana boss Hansi Flick’s midfield.

Whilst the likes of Raphinha and Lamine Yamal have so often stolen the headlines, many actually feel as though Pedri has been Barcelona’s most consistent performer in 2024/25.

And such excellence is certainly reflected in the statistics.

This comes amid confirmation that Pedri currently leads all of Europe’s top-7 leagues when it comes to passing.

With 46 such passes to his name, the former Las Palmas talent leads Bayern Munich standout Joshua Kimmich (44) in 2nd.
