As Barcelona gear up for their season opener against RCD Mallorca tomorrow at Son Moix, they are dealing with a few fitness-enforced absences.
Captain Marc-Andre ter Stegen is ruled out with a back issue that needed him to undergo surgery, while Robert Lewandowski also appears set to miss out due to some muscle problems. Marc Bernal is also unlikely to be rushed back after his ACL injury.
Now, according to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick suffered a minor mishap in Thursday’s training session at Ciutat Esportiva.
The German coach took a fall and, when attempting to brace himself with his hand on the ground, injured himself. He was attended to by club doctor Ricard Pruna.

Flick is now wearing a splint that supports the back of his right hand and wrist. However, the injury does not affect his ability to carry out his duties on the pitch, as he continued working as normal.
Today, following the morning training session, Flick will hold his first press conference of the season ahead of their first official match – the La Liga opener in Son Moix between Mallorca and Barcelona.
The 60-year-old manager did give a press conference in South Korea before the Seoul FC–Barcelona match, an event that was contractually agreed with the organisers of the team’s Asia tour.
The German tactician, who had a meeting with his agent, Pini Zahavi, earlier this week, will hope to kickstart the defence of the La Liga crown on a winning note.
