Barcelona legend sends warning message to Hansi Flick | OneFootball

A one-time member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has on Friday fired a warning the way of Hansi Flick.

As much comes amid the assurance that, no matter how well his side continue to perform over the weeks ahead, it will mean nothing if they do not win a title.

Barcelona are of course in the midst of what has been a superb start to the new campaign.

All told, in ten outings across all competitions, the Blaugrana have racked up eight victories, sitting pretty atop the La Liga table as a result.

An absolutely central factor in such excellence has been the influence of Hansi Flick, whose exploits on the touchline in Catalunya’s capital have garnered widespread praise.

Speaking to the media on Friday, former Barca standout Rivaldo was in turn drawn on his ex-club’s start to the term.

And though the Brazilian was quick to give Flick his deserved credit, he also warned that, in the end, it will only matter if the German manages to deliver silverware come the close of the campaign:

“At big teams like Barça, everything depends on the results,” Rivaldo began, as cited by Diario Sport. “It’s true that Flick’s Barça are performing phenomenally… but there’s still a lot of championships ahead. A lot of Champions League, a lot of La Liga, the cup. I would be cautious and wait until the end of the season. If you don’t win a title at Barcelona, ​​the fans and the press will criticise you.”
