Several top European clubs have shown keen interest in recent months. Unai Emery’s Aston Villa were the first to make a serious move, followed by Manchester United and Chelsea. Of the suitors, United’s approach stood out.

In fact, as reported before, the Red Devils were reportedly ready to present a formal offer exceeding €70 million, a bid significant enough for Barcelona to consider negotiations.
