Barcelona have made significant financial moves this summer, generating almost €75 million from player departures, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Catalan club’s revenue comes from a combination of transfers, loans, percentage payments for previously transferred players, and savings on wages.

The outlet assures that one of the most striking examples is the sudden exit of Inigo Martinez to Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia.

By letting the centre-back leave with a year still remaining on his contract, Barça save around €14 million in wages, including the salary for July and outstanding commission fees.

Other key wage savings include the loan of Ansu Fati to Monaco, which reduces Barcelona’s payroll by €12 million, and the departure of Clement Lenglet on a free transfer to Atletico Madrid, saving another €12 million.

These savings form an important part of the club’s strategy to balance the books while investing in new talent.

Transfer income adds to financial boost

Barcelona have also benefited from direct transfer income. The most notable deal is the sale of Pau Victor to Braga, which will bring in €12 million upfront plus an additional €3 million in potential variables.

Other transfers include Alex Valle to Como for €6 million and Pablo Torre to Mallorca for €5 million.

Meanwhile, reserve team players Sergi Domínguez and Noah Darvich have left for €1.5 million and €1 million, respectively, and youth player Eman Kospo’s move to Fiorentina adds around €400,000.

Additional income comes from smaller transfers, including Jean-Clair Todibo to West Ham (€8 million), Ludovit Reis to Club Brugge (€1.75 million), Ilaix Moriba (€0.6 million) and Ferran Jutgla (€0.05 million) to Celta, and Alex Collado to Al-Shamal SC in Saudi Arabia (€0.5 million).

Adding up all these moves, transfer income plus wage savings, Barcelona’s summer departures have brought the club a total of €74.8 million.
