Liverpool are expected to hold talks over a contract extension with Luis Diaz this summer in an attempt to fend off interest from Barcelona.
The Reds have spent this season negotiating new contracts with Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, successfully tying two of the trio down to fresh terms, and are now switching their sights to their next contract dilemmas.
Centre-back Ibrahima Konate has left Liverpool sweating as he approaches the final 12 months of his contract, but Diaz is one of several players whose contracts expire in 2027. With two years remaining, the Colombia international is now at a crucial point in his Anfield tenure.
Barcelona are known to be tracking the situation, with sporting director Deco thought to be particularly infatuated with Diaz, but the winger recently appeared to pledge his commitment to Liverpool in a recent interview.
Sky Sports News state Liverpool will look to end the uncertainty surrounding Diaz's future once and for all with talks over an extension at the end of the season.
That backs up a recent report from The Athletic, which stated Liverpool have no desire to lose Diaz after an impressive individual campaign which has yielded 16 goals and eight assists across all competitions.
It is stressed that Liverpool are also looking to keep hold of Diogo Jota despite reports he could be sold this summer.
Darwin Nunez, however, is expected to leave the club this summer. Atletico Madrid and AC Milan are both keen to keep the Uruguay international in Europe, but Liverpool are expecting interest from Saudi Arabia after rejecting an approach worth £70m from the Middle East in January.
