Barcelona eye €100 million summer swoop for attacking duo – report | OneFootball

Barcelona have arguably been the most frightening attacking side in Europe this season, with the offensive combination of Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski working in tandem.

However, the club lack proper backup in the attacking unit and the club may lose momentum should one of them get injured, as evidenced by Barcelona’s form without Yamal earlier in the season.

Therefore, the Catalans are looking to shore up their ranks in the offensive unit next summer, with the club already identifying two key targets.

Barcelona eyeing move for Lookman and Aghehowa

According to Fichajes, Barcelona are willing to make major investments next summer, in an attempt to add more quality in the frontline.

The report claims that Barça are eyeing a whopping €100 million swoop for Ademola Lookman and Samu Aghehowa.

Both players have been exceptional form this season and can add serious firepower to the Barça attack.

While Lookman has racked up 49 goals and 22 assists since joining Atalanta, Aghehowa is enjoying a season to remember since making the move to FC Porto last summer.

The former Atletico Madrid star has scored 20 goals in all competitions this season, with the forward impressing onlookers with his ability to find himself in goalscoring positions.

Aghehowa can be an interesting long-term replacement for Lewandowski at Barcelona, but the player won’t come cheap.

While the 20-year-old joined Porto for just €15 million, the forward is now valued at around €50-60 million. The same applies to Lookman, with Atalanta ready to consider offers around the €40 million mark.

As mentioned earlier, Barcelona could be ready to spend €100 million for these two attackers. But whether or not they can make an approach would depend on Financial Fair Play regulations as well as the club’s efforts to get rid of unwanted stars next summer.
