FC Barcelona are set to return to training this Sunday with a full squad. With the pre-season set to start, the Blaugrana sporting department is eager to resolve the futures of players who are not in manager Hansi Flick’s plans.

Clement Lenglet and Ansu Fati have already left, while Pablo Torre is almost out of the club. Barça are now working on finalising the exits of Inaki Pena, who is attracting interest from teams in La Liga, as well as Pau Victor.

While Pena could be released from his contract, which has only one year left, Barça have other plans for Victor.

A loan exit for Pau Victor?

Indeed, according to SPORT, Barcelona are considering the idea of loaning Pau Victor out this summer, so that he can continue developing by playing regularly in the first division.

The 23-year-old joined Barça permanently last summer after impressing on loan at Barça Atletic in 2023/24. And even though he performed well in pre-season under Hansi Flick, minutes were hard to come by for the attacker.

Victor ended the season with 29 appearances, in which he managed two goals and an assist.

Despite his lack of minutes, Barcelona regard him highly and have him on a long-term contract until 2029, which he signed last year.

As such, the idea of a loan exit is being explored for Pau Victor, with the aim being for him to play regularly in La Liga and continue his development.

The report further states that there is no shortage of offers for the 23-year-old. So, it might not be long before a suitable destination is found for the former Girona forward.
