Barcelona confident in their pursuit of Nico Williams | OneFootball

FC Barcelona are confident of signing Spain international winger Nico Williams (22) from Athletic Club, according to a report from Foot Mercato. Inaki Williams’ younger brother is one of the most sought-after wingers in Europe this summer. The 22-year-old was reportedly a target for PSG last year. Now, Arsenal FC and FC Bayern have also joined the race to sign the Euro 2024 winner with Spain.

Foot Mercato understands that Williams would rather stay in La Liga as he is keen on a move to champions FC Barcelona, where he would join a fearsome forward line already packed with options to choose from for Hansi Flick, such as Raphinha, Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski. The outlet adds that Barcelona have planned a meeting with the player’s agent. The Blaugranes are also very confident that their attempts to sign Nico Williams will eventually prove successful.
