Marcus Rashford’s long-anticipated loan move to Barcelona is now just a medical away from completion, with the English forward expected to undergo his tests on Monday at the Ciutat Esportiva.
Assuming no setbacks, he could be presented as a new Barça player on Tuesday and join the club’s pre-season tour of Asia on Thursday.
Rashford’s arrival comes after weeks of negotiations and strategic reshuffling, especially after the failed attempt to land Nico Williams.
The 26-year-old had long been admired by Hansi Flick, who pushed for the club to finalise the deal quickly to ensure Rashford’s integration into the squad ahead of the new season.
Barcelona concerned about Rashford’s injury
While excitement builds around Rashford’s expected unveiling, Barcelona’s medical team remains cautious, reports Diario AS.

It appears the Englishman is still recovering from a hamstring injury, which kept him out of Aston Villa’s final matches last season and also ruled him out of England’s games against Andorra and Senegal.
Initial scans have shown that Rashford is nearing full recovery, but his history of hamstring issues, particularly affecting the delicate upper hamstring area, has raised some concerns internally.
Barça’s medical staff are likely to clear him for full training this week, but will also design a preventive care plan to help avoid future relapses.
These types of muscle injuries are common in players with Rashford’s explosive style and require careful load management, especially early in the season.
Despite the concerns, the overall expectation is that Rashford will be cleared to join the squad in Asia, offering Hansi Flick a dynamic new attacking option.
