A leading member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants could be in line for an imminent departure from the club.

That’s according to market insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Iñigo Martínez as the player in question.

Stopper Iñigo is for his part fresh off a stellar campaign in Catalunya’s capital in 2024/25.

Establishing himself as one of the first names on the team sheet of new Blaugrana boss Hansi Flick, the Spaniard brought control, technical excellence and key leadership to the club’s backline.

In turn, it will no doubt come as a shock for those of a Barcelona persuasion to learn that Iñigo could soon be on the move.

As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano:

‘Iñigo Martínez could leave Barcelona with immediate effect. Club and Spanish defender discuss terms for potential exit as there are Saudi Pro League clubs interested.’

Amongst the sides most interested in the services of the 34-year-old, it is understood, are Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr.
