Barcelona board ‘studying’ attacker’s contract renewal | OneFootball

The board at La Liga giants Barcelona have begun looking into the potential contract renewal of a leading member of the club’s attacking ranks.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Raphinha as the player in question.

Wide-man Raphinha is for his part of course fresh off nothing short of a brilliant start to the new campaign.

Looking completely rejuvenated under the watch of new boss Hansi Flick, the Brazilian has shone from both a central role, and on the left flank.

All told, such endeavours have given rise to five goals and two assists across seven appearances to date.

The highlight of as much came on the final day of last month, when Raphinha was responsible for a hat-trick en route to Barcelona’s 7-0 drubbing of Real Valladolid.

And, evidently, such endeavours on the part of the former Leeds United man have not gone at all unappreciated on the part of those behind the scenes at the Camp Nou.

As per a report from Diario Sport:

‘Barça are very satisfied with Raphinha and they are clear that next summer – two years from the end of his contract – they will have to make a decision about his future. And the idea, right now, is to renew his contract.’
