Barcelona are once again facing difficulties with La Liga’s strict financial fair play rules.

According to RAC1, the club already accepts that reaching the 1:1 rule this window will be nearly impossible.

The Blaugrana hoped to complete the summer transfer market under this regulation, but the situation has become more complicated than expected.

So far, Barça have successfully registered Marcus Rashford and Joan Garcia. However, they are still waiting to complete registrations for Tek, Gerard Martín, and Roony Bardghji.

On top of that, Marc Bernal’s new contract remains on hold, leaving the young talent unable to make his debut.

What is the problem?

The main obstacle is the lack of approval for the €100m VIP seats lease deal. This operation is crucial because it would have allowed Barcelona to return to the 1:1 rule and manage new signings without restrictions.

But the auditors, Crowe, have not given the green light, and without their approval, La Liga cannot validate the deal.

The clock is ticking with the transfer window closing soon, and frustration is growing inside the club.

Barcelona have managed to ease some pressure with player exits this summer, but it is not enough. The club needs significant financial backing, and the stalled VIP seats operation is a major setback.

Barcelona’s plan B

If it were approved, it would unlock funds and give Barça the freedom they need in the transfer market.

As a backup option, Barcelona have considered selling Marc Casado. The 22-year-old midfielder has attracted some interest, but the problem is that he has no desire to leave the club before the window shuts.

Unless there is a late breakthrough, this route looks unlikely.

In the end, Barcelona’s financial troubles continue to cast a shadow over their transfer plans. Without the approval of the VIP seats deal, they may have to accept that operating under the 1:1 rule this season is simply out of reach.
