Barcelona ‘already working’ on signings for next season | OneFootball

Barcelona sporting director Deco has on Thursday confirmed that he has already begun actively working towards reinforcing the club’s squad for next season.

The former midfielder today took his place in front of the media, at the ‘Thinking Football’ event in his home country of Portugal.

During as much, a whole host of topics were put to Deco, with the subject of Barcelona’s endeavours on the transfer front, unsurprisingly, front and centre.

Despite widespread chatter surrounding multiple big-name arrivals at the Camp Nou over recent months, upon the summer window slamming shut late last month, just one high-profile signing (Dani Olmo) had been added to Hansi Flick’s squad.

This afternoon, the subject of as Barca’s reinforcement plans moving forward, in turn, was unsurprisingly put to Deco once more.

And the one-time Blaugrana star’s response will no doubt spark excitement across the club’s fanbase, with Deco, as cited by Diario Sport, having confirmed that:

“I’m already working on next season.”

Looking more towards the immediate road ahead, the 47-year-old also reiterated:

“We have to make important renewals in the coming months.”
