Barcelona’s interest in Nico Williams leaves the door open for creativity to visualize how the manager will fit the Athletic Club winger into the team’s lineup should the deal go through.
After all, one of the only workable solutions without dropping any of the three in Barcelona’s trident would be to move Raphinha into an attacking midfield role and deploy Nico on the left flank.
Such a manoeuvre, however, will leave the existing attacking midfielders in jeopardy – particularly Dani Olmo and Fermin Lopez who both excelled in the recent season.
With rumours of Nico’s potential arrival and Flick’s clear preference for Olmo as a starter over him, one would have assumed Fermin Lopez could become a candidate for departure should a big offer come in.
As relayed by Ben Jacobs, the 22-year-old attacking midfielder has received interest from German champions Bayern Munich, who have explored the possibility of recruiting him for next season.

While the entire crop of players from the academy have shown a staunch devotion to the club’s crest and passion for the badge on the field, Fermin has been one to always show the extra love he carries for the club.
The zeal to succeed at the club of his dreams is evident in his every minute on the field and he stepped up big time towards the end of last season to impress Hansi Flick and command more minutes in the German tactician’s plans.
The 22-year-old racked up 28 league appearances last season with six goals and five assists to his name.
Given his form and profile, one can only expect his performances and prominence to improve under the manager next season.
