After a six-year absence from Portugal, Portuguese teenager João Felix could be set to return to his boyhood club Benfica, with reports revealing that the Portuguese club are making some strong moves towards reaching an official agreement to bring the 25-year-old back to the club from which he came out into the world.
According to press reports, led by reports from TeamTalk, the Portuguese club are in current talks with the English club for the services of the former Barcelona and Atletico Madrid player, who recently returned from his loan spell at AC Milan to Chelsea, with the Portuguese club reportedly proposing to offer €20-25 million for the player's services.
In confirmation of this news, João Felix himself had previously told the media that he would definitely like to return to Benfica one day because it is the club of his heart and the house where he grew up, which increases the likelihood of the deal happening if the player agrees to the personal terms and salary, knowing that Benfica will find it comfortable to pay €20 million or even €25 million, which is the penalty of the player's contract that extends until 2031.
