Atlético Madrid lineup set to undergo wholesale changes ahead of trip to Real Sociedad | OneFootball

Atlético Madrid are set to travel to San Sebastián this weekend to face Real Sociedad away from home, following on from their 1-1 draw last week in the Madrid derby.

Diego Simeone could be set to change up over half his squad from the team that fell to a 4-0 defeat in Lisbon against Benfica on Wednesday evening.

As per ElDesmarque, Simeone’s training session this afternoon would seem to indicate that Javi Galán, Clement Lenglet, Nahuel Molina, Pablo Barrios, Alexander Sortloth and Conor Gallagher could be stepping up for Sunday’s clash.

Meanwhile, Los Colchoneros will be without Marcos Llorente, Robin Le Normand and César Azpilicueta, who all miss out due to injury.

Reinildo, Koke, Rodrigo de Paul, Samuel Lino and Ángel Correa are looking set to miss out after playing in the 4-0 defeat on Wednesday.

Atleti still have another training session to complete before they announce their squad for the trip to the Basque country, where we may gain a better insight into the approach Simeone will be likely to take.
