Aston Villa Women ran riot against visiting Bristol Rovers in a massive 9-0 win during their FA Cup clash.

Despite a frustrating WSL campaign that sees them well and truly out of the race, Villa put in a resounding performance to keep their chances of silverware alive.

Three goals highlighted the opening eight minutes of action after a Rachel Daly brace and a first of the night from Gabriela Da Silva kicked things off in style.

The goalscoring duo were joined by Paula Tomás, Chasity Grant, Kirsty Hanson, and Jill Baijings on the scoresheet, with Da Silva taking much of the plaudits after eventually completing her hat-trick on the night.

Villa created a whopping 40 chances come the end of 90 minutes of action, including 15 shots on frame while boasting over 70% of the ball.

Interim boss Shaun Goater will be thrilled with the performance as the club book passage into the next round of the competition.

Scorers: Ramírez 40', Reiten 45+3' (pen), Beever-Jones 48', Charles 73'

Women’s Premier League giants Chelsea remained on song in their FA Cup meeting with Chartlon in a confident 4-0 win.

Across a dominant display in front of home support, Sonia Bompastor’s Blues advanced in the competition with ease, taking a two-goal lead into the halftime interval thanks to a late goal flurry from Mayra Ramírez and a cool effort from the penalty spot thanks to Guro Reiten.

Chelsea’s brilliant day out continued into the second half when substitute Aggie Beever-Jones was introduced at the restart and managed to add her name to the scoresheet after just three minutes of action.

Niamh Charles netted the fourth goal of the night with her first strike of the season after she found herself with acres of room in the box to slot past a sprawling Jessica Gray to well and truly put the match out of sight with seventeen minutes left to play.

This type of form will surely see Chelsea as the favourites after the Blues have similarly blitzed the Women's Super League.

Scorers: Roord 20', Coombs 55', Miedama 76'

WSL high-flyers Manchester City eased past Ipswich Town and into the fifth round of the competition as they got 2025 off to a perfect start.

Dominating the game from the off, City took the lead midway through the first half through skipper for the day Jill Roord, who found the bottom corner from distance.

They continued to create chances, but didn't double their lead until just before the hour mark, when Laura Coombs' initial effort smashed back off the crossbar before she poked home.

Then it was the turn of Vivienne Miedama, making her first appearance since October, who found a yard of space in the Ipswich backline before finishing with her usual aplomb, and see City safely into the next round.
