Aston Villa are one of the Premier League clubs considering a move to sign Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United.
Garnacho has been informed that he does not feature in Ruben Amorim’s plans of the upcoming campaign.
Despite interest from Europe, Garnacho’s preference is to remain in the Premier League and Aston Villa are weighing up an approach for the Argentine, according to talkSPORT.
Unai Emery has made the signing of a left-sided attacker his priority, after the loan spells of Marcus Rashford and Marcos Asensio were not turned into permanent deals. There is also transfer interest in Jacob Ramsey from Nottingham Forest and Everton.
Garnacho was subject of interest from Chelsea in the January transfer window and the Blues continue to monitor his situation despite the addition of Jamie Gittens this summer.
Manchester United value Garnacho at around £50m, a figure that could prove prohibitive for Aston Villa without sales. The Villans are working amid transfer restrictions due to Premier League Profit and Sustainability issues.
The 21-year-old scored 11 goals in 58 appearances for the Red Devils last season, but fell out with manager Ruben Amorim earlier this year.
The winger and his brother criticised his role as a substitute for the Europa League final defeat to Tottenham Hotspur and Garnacho was told he is free to find a new club in May.
