FC Barcelona have enjoyed a resurgent season under Hansi Flick, securing a domestic treble and coming within minutes of a Champions League final berth. The German coach has revitalized the squad, not only elevating stars but also getting the very best out of fringe players who had previously struggled to find consistency.
Raphinha has gone on to become one of the very best in the world but even squad players like Ferran Torres and Eric Garcia have thrived.
Ferran has always had his detractors since his move from Manchester City. Barcelona paid a significant transfer fee for him at a time where the club’s finances were in the trenches and he had struggled to provide return on investment until this season.

This season, though, Hansi Flick made it a point to give him a defined role as the backup number nine to Robert Lewandowski. The Spaniard has stepped up whenever called upon, scoring 19 goals and providing 7 assists across all competitions this season.
Most of his goals have come off the bench but when Lewandowski got injured for a key part of the season, the €28m-rated forward started the big games and managed to get important goals. It bodes well for Flick to have such quality on the bench.
With such a good season behind him, Ferran was linked with a transfer to Aston Villa but as per Mundo Deportivo, the English club have no plan of making a move for the player but appreciate the quality that he possesses.

Ferran Torres has turned a corner this season, finally living up to his potential and proving his value to the Barcelona squad. With Aston Villa reportedly not pursuing a transfer and the player keen to stay, his future in Catalonia looks increasingly secure.
As Lewandowski ages and minutes open up, Ferran could play an even more prominent role next season. Under Flick’s guidance, his resurgence is not just a short-term boost, it could be the start of a lasting chapter at Camp Nou.
