Aston Villa could be in trouble with their sensational player, Morgan Rogers, as Arsenal are very interested in signing the 22-year-old in the summer. The Gunners want to fight hard for the Premier League title next season, and for that to happen, they need more depth and quality in their squad.
Rogers has been sensational for Villa this season. The Aston Villa man has scored eight goals in 34 matches so far in the Premier League 2024/2025 season. Four of the eight goals were scored at home, while he scored four goals in away games. Overall, Morgan Rogers’s goals scored per 90 minutes is 0.25. Moreover, the Aston Villa man’s total G/A (goals + assists) is 16 for this season. His goal involvement equates to 0.5 per 90 minutes. His Non-Penalty xG per 90 minutes is 0.25.
Football Transfers has reported that although Villa might not be ready to sell one of their best players of this season, Arsenal feel that the £69 million-rated England international might still be available for them.
Morgan Rogers has shown real promise since joining Aston Villa. He is quick, confident on the ball, and always looks to make things happen in attack. Whether he is cutting in from the left or linking up with teammates, he brings energy and creativity to the team. At just 22, he is only getting better with each game and has the potential to become a key player for the club.
Selling Rogers this summer would be a mistake, especially when young talents like him are hard to find. Rogers has the skill set Villa need for the long run—he is fearless, sharp, and still developing. With the right guidance, Rogers could grow into a top-level attacker. Letting the player go now would be short-sighted. Villa should hold on and let him flourish at Villa Park.
However, Rogers would want to play for a top club like Arsenal, who will be competing for the Premier League title and also the Champions League. So, we have to wait and see what finally happens regarding the future of Rogers, and if Villa are able to retain him amidst the strong interest.
