A headline member of the defensive ranks at Premier League giants Arsenal is ready to do his part to carve out a future move to Spain with Real Madrid.

That’s according to Marca, who highlight William Saliba as the player in question.

It is of course common knowledge across Spain at this point that Real Madrid are on the lookout for reinforcements at centre-back moving forward.

Owing to the long-term fitness struggles of David Alaba, Los Blancos are expected to bring in a new stopper either this summer or next.

To date, a whole host of players have in turn been tipped to take their talents to the Santiago Bernabéu.

Considered the most intriguing in the eyes of many, though, is the aforementioned William Saliba.

Real Madrid have long been credited with a keen interest in the Arsenal stalwart, widely regarded as one of the standout defenders in world football.

And if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, it would appear that interest in a joining of forces is very much mutual.

As per a report from Marca, Saliba, aware that the same level of wages would not be on offer at Real Madrid as Arsenal, is willing to make a financial sacrifice to head to La Liga.
