John Cross reports for the Mirror that Jorginho is “definitely out” of Arsenal’s trip to face Real Madrid on Wednesday night, though the club are hoping his injury isn’t season-ending.
Jorginho reportedly suffered a chest injury against Brentford, subsequently undergoing checks and x-rays, with the results seemingly ruling him out for the next few weeks.
A season-ending injury would likely mean Jorginho had played his last game for the club, with his contract expiring this summer and reports of interest from Flamengo in Brazil.
But Cross suggests the injury isn’t as serious as that, and he adds that even if Jorginho leaves, the Italy international may be offered the chance to return to the Emirates Stadium in the future.

In other injury news, Cross reports that Thomas Partey suffered a knock and is being assessed, but Arsenal hope he’ll be fit to face Real Madrid on Wednesday.
There’s nothing new on Ben White just yet, with Mikel Arteta saying on Saturday: “We don’t know. He could not be in the condition to be in the squad today and be selected. We have a few days, but we’ll have to wait and see.”
The Arsenal squad will travel to Spain on Tuesday, with Arteta holding a press conference at 18:15 BST. Those two events should provide some kind of update on White.

There’s also no news on Riccardo Calafiori at this stage, but if he is fit to face Real Madrid then Arsenal have really kept that quiet.
